Carrying the popularity of our antecedent Uchi Lounge, we are a fresh face amongst the hustle and bustle of Clarence Street, O’Uchi.
Serving by our motto, Shinsen (Fresh), 90% of ingredients that we use are certified organic and we also focus on seasonal tastes to leave your palate with an indelible impression. We are proud to say that our Aussie beef come from 100% Organic Fortitude Valley Farm, and our chicken free range without hormone. Needless to say we are very meticulous about using only the best of ingredients, even with condiments, such as organic soy sauce and miso.
We serve by a simple philosophy – Shinsen (fresh) – and that’s why we’re particular about using organic produce delivered directly from suppliers. With a whopping 80% of our entire menu being organic, we can ensure that your dining experience will be one that’s nutritious and indulgent without the unnecessary guilt. Refuel for a busy day with our hearty Kara-age Chicken Don or our signature Beef Ramen. If you want to taste a little bit of everything,
we've got our Bentos as well! Our most popular one is Salmon Bento, where we curate salmon in four different ways: sashimi, sushi rolls, teriyaki and salad. Grab one of our flavoured kombuchas for that extra prebiotic nutritional boost too! We also love spicing things up with our daily specials, so be sure to follow our social media for daily updates. If you’re in a hurry, don't worry; we can pack everything on the menu for takeaway.
At night, O'Uchi completely transforms itself to a secret hideaway from the face of a bustly restaurant during the day.

Or sample the unique culinary specials created daily by our fusion of Japan’s traditional and Australia's modern tastes. If you are planning on having a romantic dinner
for two or a get together with a group of friends after a long day, then O’Uchi is the venue for you.Some of the popular dishes available at O’Uchi include for starters, Wasabi Coriander Mussels or the equally mouth watering Beef Tataki with Yuzu Ponzu Soy. As a main, O’Uchi has a lovely selection of fresh sashimi such as our Kingfish Sashimi with Shallot infused Olive Oil & Umeboshi Dressing.
We encourage you to share and enjoy, so you don't have to miss any of the unique Japanese/Australasian flavours. Renowned Chef and Owner Takashi Ohuchi has brought his distinct fusion of old and new, with signature dishes such as the Eggplant Miso sprinkled with Parmesan, or a sumptuous crispy skinned Duck Breast smoked in Green Tea Leaves… And when dinner has settled, if you care for dessert, why not try the Green Tea and Cinnamon Creme Brulée or any other exquisite delights we have on our menu. These dishes are only a mere glimpse of the variety that O’Uchi has in waiting for you, not to mention the fresh range of equally delicious vegetarian dishes we have.
Our antecedent Uchi Lounge has opened Sydney's first Sake Bar with a wide selection of Premium Japanese Sakes, and O’Uchi is back with more! We have a new set of Original Sake O’Cocktails, presenting you with concoctions of unique and funky flavours our Chef and Owner Takashi himself has designed. Don't forget our own Lychee, Strawberry, Pinapple and many other flavour infused Sakes. For something more familiar; try a variety of Japanese beers including Sapporo on tap and a wide selection of organic Australian reds and whites. We’ll have your thirst quenched for sure!!
OTSUMAMI, Japanese style Tapas dishes like Miso marinated Camembert, Zucchini Tempura and all time favourite, Kara-age Chicken are available to order with your drinks.
